Felting with Children

It was so much fun! And the kids loved it! We made quite a mess, with the sudsy water everywhere, but the kids helped clean it up at the end. Some really beautiful felt pieces were made by them. It was worth all the planning, the putting-off, the nervousness that it wouldn't work out. I can't wait to see the pieces when they have dried--I'm working again tomorrow, and I hope the felt will be dry by then. I am bringing in some leftover balls of yarn so that I can sew loops on the felt pieces should the children want to hang them up on their bedroom walls. I thought they would make nice Christmas gifts too. I was really proud of them, they were very enthusiastic and participated fully.
