News: I'm running the Stitch 'n B*tch at my University. Note to self: get posters up so that I don't have to knit alone next time :-) That would help, methinks.
Oh wow, I went to Wabi-Sabi yesterday morning. I was *very* impressed, and managed to get away with only a smallish dent in my wallet--those bamboo needles get me every time...If you haven't checked out this LYS, you're missing out...

Im a student at the University of Ottawa running a chapter of the Stephen Lewis Foundation's 'Grandmothers to Grandmothers' campaign. We are looking for knitting groups in Ottawa, especially at the university who might be willing to knit our grandmother dolls for a silent auction we will be hosting. We have pattern booklets and are getting funding to provide our knitters with wool for the dolls! and the money from doll sales will go completely to the Stephen Lewis Foundation.
